The Yum! Event is going to be amazing, and we can't wait for everyone to come down and enjoy the festival. Here's some practical information to make sure your visit goes as smoothly as possible.


It's Free!

Unlike some food festivals, Yum! is completely free to enter. The only event which requires a paid for ticket is the evening of 'Yummy Jazz' on Thursday 28th July 8pm, which is part of the Jazz Festival and is an over 18's only event. Tickets cost £5.00 each.


Opening Times

The core festival marquees will be open from 10am till 4pm each day. The continental market from 9am till 5pm. Plenty of time to enjoy the great things happening across the city centre!


Public Transport

Rail

Hull Paragon links to most major stations in the north, as well as having a direct line to London, and is at the heart of the city centre. Only 5 minutes walk from the events happening over the three days, it is a great way to get to Yum! from further afield. For more information about train links with the city head to the Hull National Rail Site.


Bus

The Hull Bus Interchange is conviently placed next to Paragon Station, so only a few minutes from the action. For more information on the Bus links with the city call 01482 222222, visit EYMS at www.eyms.co.uk or Stagecoach at www.stagecoachbus.com.


Walking

Events are held in the City Centre, which is a short distance from most hotels, and other attractions in Hull. To find where an event is located, check out our map, or ask one of our event staff on the day.

By Car

Getting to Hull by car couldn't be easier, situated at the end of the M62 it is only an hour away from Leeds and two from Manchester. To get to Yum! follow signage to the city centre, and then head to the one of the many Parking areas including:


St. Stephens: 1500 spaces with secure 24 hour car parking. For more information and parking tariffs visit www.ststephens-hull.co.uk


Princes Quay: 1000 spaces with up to 2 hours parking for only £1.80 and late night parking for just £1 after 6pm. For more information visit www.princes-quay.co.uk


Hull City Council Car Parks operates 12 off-street car parks across the city centre offering over 2500 parking spaces. 2 hours on street parking for just £2.60 at any of the city’s pay and display sites, and free on-street parking after 6pm. Off street car parking includes long stay, short stay and multi storey car parks with many opening until 7pm offering upto 2 hours parking for just £1.60.


Park and Ride operates from Priory Park (signposted for the A63)

However you get to Yum! we can't wait to see you. Most of our events are on Princes Dock Street (along side Princes Quay), down Whitefriargate, and in Trinity and Victoria Square nearby. The continental market will be situated in King Edward Street and Jameson Street. See our map for details.


Toilets

Public Toilets are available in Victoria Square, Princes Quay Shopping Centre and also in the Market Place. The many pubs and restaurants also offer toilets to customers. 


Children

Can I leave my Child while they're having fun in the Bitesize Kids's Area?

No. Children should be supervised at all times.


What if I lose my Child?

Event staff will be clearly identifiable, so please contact one of them. There will also be an information marquee in Queen Victoria Square, which will also be the Lost Child Point.
